Sweet Soli

I think Solitaire was my once in a life time wonder-girl . She started life special as an only pup. Then proceeded to accomplish far beyond what puppies normally do. It was as if she "knew" she didn't have long to do all she wanted to. She amazed everyone as a six month old "floppy-eared" pup she won WB, BOW , and BOS at the Blue Bonnet Boxer Specialty for a 3 pt. major and her first ABC BOW plaque----her first weekend to ever show.  Breeder-judge Mr. Ben De Boer told Rich Mysliwisc  Sr., who showed her, that she was going to be a special girl. LITTLE DID WE KNOW just how true that would be.

Her second major ( and ABC BOW plaques ) came when she was just 10 months shown by Kay Palade . She was finished at 15 months by Bobby Schoenfeld . Then she was on her way to ABC and the Parade of Champions the same month. We had yet to find out why both "Soli" and I  "felt" things had to be accomplished fast.

Then at 26 months of age we found out why we had felt this urgency . Solitaire was diagnosed with BCM. She was put on medication and spayed. Although still having no outward signs of the disease her show career was cut short. She and HER GIRL , Lindsey, continued to show together in Jr. Showmanship for as long as her condition allowed.

We continued to bring Soli to out of town shows down to the end. She so loved to visit all her friends. Anyone who meet Solitaire loved and remembered her. It made her so happy to have all her friends love and hug her when she came to visit.

Our dear Soli ,you started your life special and always will be to those who were fortunate enough to share your love and your life. You came into this world in my hands , and left it in my arms. For this I'll always be thankful.
You'll forever have a special place in our hearts our sweet " ONE N ONLY "
